NUPA - Mediterranean Grill: Reviews & Ratings
A must try! Prices are pretty standard but the food is not. They clearly use high quality ingredients and the portions are perfect for the price. Everything I had was worth it. The best part was the staff being very attentive and clearly taking pride in the food and overall service of their establishment. I will be adding this to my standard rotation and anyone who enjoys this type of food should too!
Decided to try this place with my brother. Place feels open and clean when you walk in, and smells pretty good too. Big windows keeps the atmosphere bright and there’s plenty of seating options. We got the gyro plate with chicken kabob, total was around $30 for the two meals. This came with gyro meat, chicken kabobs, pita bread, and 2 sides… I got the Greek salad and rice. Portion size was just right. Ate the meal and felt content… not overeaten and icky, and certainly not starving following the meal. The chicken kabobs had a nice char to them and the gyro meat was the perfect level of crisp. The Greek salad was fresh, pita was soft, and rice had good flavor. We did takeout and the food was still warm 15 minutes later when we got home. Overall, this place is worth a try. It’s a little pricey but the food tastes good and fresh.
I ordered my food to go yesterday and almost sat down to eat it there because it smelled so good. The flavor was more delicious than the smell. The Salad and rice paired well with the meat. The hostess at the counter was also very polite. My only complaint is that I wish the serving was larger but with the price of everthing here in Minnesota I understand. I will be back soon.
I stopped into Nupa for the first time tonight. I was hankering for some Mediterranean food. I lived in Europe and often spent time in Greece and Turkey and have been looking for good gyro ever since returning to the states. Nupa has an excellent gyro pita and the side Horiatiki salad was fresh, tasty, and authentic. The feta cheese was beautiful. The black olives were outstanding (but too few!). I know where I’ll go next time I am yearning for a gyro. The pricing is affordable - you definitely get your money’s worth. The portions are good - not overly generous (but that’s ok because so many places over do it). I left satisfied and not bloated. The venue is clean as a whistle. It is spacious and open with big windows letting in plenty of natural light. The staff is kind, welcoming, and helpful. They’re clearly proud of their food (as they should be). The first thing you see when entering is a big backlit menu on the wall. Unlike so many, this one is actually readable. They also have printed menus at the cashier. Order at the cashier, take a number, and find a table. They’ll bring the food out when ready. My order took about 5-7 minutes to hit the table. The venue is family friendly, but also nicely set up as a place to meet up with colleagues or friends.
I finally got to have my first dinner here. My visit this time was with my family. Kid's menu included and definitely the perfect amount for your money. I ordered a chicken and falafel dishes for my kiddos. I had the double protein with salad and grilled zucchini. Yum!!! I felt full and happy but not overly full. The Feta Cheese felt so fresh and the meat meaty not greasy. The zucchini was amazing perfectly cooked. I even tried my kid's fries and yep felt more like a potato than greasy fries. The ambience was modern yet cozy. Beautiful bathrooms onsite and wheelchair parking upfront. The ordering process was easy and the delicious desserts are upfront for viewing. Chairs were comfy :) Did I mention the staff was the sweetest!! I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!!
I keep adding pictures to this review every time I go - have been trying lots of new things and love it all! The giant digital menu on the wall in the entrance is great. Friendly and helpful staff. The decor and vibe are awesome, chairs are comfortable (with padding) and I’m impressed they have real silverware at each table set out for guests. Love that they had a half salad option. The steak side is so tasty with a good grill flavor! Also loved the pita. The restaurant is great with managing food allergies to egg, shellfish and nuts for one person, and gluten/dairy for the other. Woot! Welcome to the neighborhood!!!
I got the gyros pita and lemon rice soup with a glass of Greek champagne! Absolutely loved the seasoning and texture of the food. Quiet and calm atmosphere inside and lots of options. Going to stop for some Baklava on my way out for later ;)
